Horrible unrelenting rain in the mid west, a Derecho

Southwest, terrible wild fires.

And the drought here continues. Weather extremes all over the country, we can't say we weren't warned.

Thanks for letting us know, I haven't had the news on today.

Hi Noel, you are welcome. This certainly has been the week for bad weather nation wide.

May I call you Murphy for short, while knowing full well what your law is? {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

You were right to be wary of the coming weather. Some are saying this might be a hurricane, and that's going to spoil a lot of 4th of July celebrations.

I hope you have plenty of indoor activities planned. Stay safe and keep an eye on the weather.

Re: East Coast Awaiting Arthur

The latest report indicates we are going to get rain in our area and mostly some riptides at the shore. It's going to be far enough east of us to be mostly out at sea. It may hit the higher northeastern areas like Rhode Island, Maine, Massachusetts, and parts of Canada because they extend further out to sea. NJ angles in more westerly, we are lucky that way (sometimes). We almost have to get a direct hit (like Sandy) to get the worst of the East Coast hurricanes.

Re: East Coast Awaiting Arthur

I'm hoping it goes out to sea and misses Hatteras. We're going to Ocracoke in September and Hwy 12 doesn't need anymore damage.
