@Nightowlz LOL. I spent my first 61 years in Southern California and circumstances caused me to move to WA state but I still love California. And you couldn't pay me to live in Oklahoma, not at all. Went through there once years ago. No thanks.

I did not feel the quake thankfully. Went thru the '94 Northridge quake and that was truly awful.

@Kachina I dunno. You can get earthquakes in NM and Volcanos too. It's just that they have been dormant for many years.

@Nightowlz Were you here for the "big one" 5.7 we had? Wow shook us for 40 seconds in 2011. Our chandelier was swinging like crazy and the noise was pretty loud. Scared me!

@NightowlzCA is a big state. I live in northern CA and in my 64 years have never experienced any natural disaster other than mild after shocks from SF earthquakes.

Saw video of the elephants at San Diego Zoo. It looks like they knew something was about to happen then as the earthquake started they very quickly formed an "alert circle".

@Marp Thank you for posting about the elephants. Animals are so fascinating and so much more than a lot of people realize. Their senses are so superior in many ways.

Well, I live in SC, a state with bears, coyotes, alligators, big bugs, snakes and lizards. We have tornadoes and hurricanes in different parts of the state. We have forest fires and flooding. But I still like it here. Guess it's what you get used to experiencing.

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.

@Marp Thank you for posting this, elephants are so sensitive and caring, looks like they were protecting a youngster in the middle. I just read three books about elephants, they are very intelligent.

@Marp That was a beautiful scene. I have always loved elephants. My heart broke when they were killed for their tusks. I think their has been a law passed against such senseless killings.
