Early Package Delivery

[ Edited ]

7:20AM and the mailman just delivered a package from Amazon. They are on the ball this Saturday morning. Not my regular late morning mailman but definitely a US Mail truck that pulled into the driveway.

My Saturday packages always arrive between 7:30 and 8am.  It's no the regular mailman, he comes around noon.  I think they send a truck out early to deliver packages while people are likely to be still home.

On my way to work about 7:15AM I would pass a Post Office. There would be a line of about 6 trucks leaving the Post Office. I agree, the trucks were to deliver packages. Because I think the mailman would still be sorting mail.

During the holidays there are trucks that only deliver packages otherwise the regular carrier wouldn't be able to complete his route before the day ended or probably fit them all into his vehicle which is already packed with all the mail to be delivered that day.
