DancingQueen,  I watched it long enough to figure out what they were doing and what they were selling, and I couldn’t believe what they were doing.  Did you figure out that they were selling sex products, or was that my imagination?  I can’t believe it !!!

Nothing wrong with that at all!!  No one is being forced to watch and buy!!  It's a better way to buy such things since you can actually see the products in a well done presentation.  The only alternative is ordering without really having seen the product, going to an adult shop which might have some really perverted customers or going to one of those sex toy parties if you know someone hosting one.  I think some would be surprised at how many women actually have and like things like that since most will not admit it freely!  Like I mentioned in another post about this, I was helping a friend go through her mother's things after her death and we found many items in her nightstand which at first weired my friend out!

I won't judge Evine's decision to try this after dark format program to sell adult products.  It's not like we aren't used to seeing things related to intimacy on regular TV.  There is sex ual content all over the network and cable prime time programs and has been for decades in motion pictures.  I didn't watch long, but the cleavage display by host Kimberly Wells was a bit over the top.  Her guests were dresssed in garments showing not much more than you can see on some of the QVc female hosts during the summer months.

if there is a market for the merchandise, the items are not illegal, they can sell anything they want.  Supply and demand.  If sales go down or their viewers object they will change their programming.

If a movie is X rated, it's your choice whether you go see it or not.  So if the merchandise is offensive to someone, it's his/her choice whether whether or not to watch and/or buy.

I don’t watch shopping channels anymore but I think that in order to make a profit, they will try anything. I suppose there is a market for this stuff and it is less embarrassing to order these products online or via phone than to go to a creepy store downtown.

they have been doing this for going on close to a year now.

nothing new.......it must be working for them or they would not keep having these shows.

@sunshine45  Exactly.  Interesting that now Cosmopolitan has joined Evine in this programming and product venture.  So they must have seen that there's money to be made with Evine, and they have a large enough customer base that have already shown interest with their dollars.
