Anyone order from Etsy?  Tell me the good and bad.  Should I just stay away?

I've ordered different items from Etsy vendors for the last couple of years and have been very happy with all of my purchases. The sellers are Small Business owners with nice/great products at good prices. Shipping has always been very prompt. I've had no bad experiences at all.

I had a shop on Etsy from 2008 - 2020.  I've purchased probably hundreds of items there.

Etsy is made up of individual sellers and shops....some good and some not so good.  Some items are amazing and some items are junk.

Whenever I purchase from a new shop, I look at reviews and I might ask the seller a question to see what sort of answer I get....do they respond in a timely manner?  What are the policies in their shop?

I have gotten lots of great items!  I wouldn't "stay away" ....why?  I just purchased a few holiday gifts and plan on getting more.

Like the previous posters, I have purchased several items from Etsy and have always been very satisfied.  I do a lot of counted cross stitch and there are several wonderful vendors from whom I purchase.

I love Etsy. Delivery is prompt and everything is always well packaged. A lot of them offer free shipping.

I've purchased from several different vendors and they always send coupons for your next purchase.

I haven't bought from Etsy much. I bought cloth masks when COVID first arrived, the masks were so so but I was lucky to get anything at that time. I ordered a lanyard for my school ID badge on line the color was very different from what I actually received, I was very disappointed.

I've ordered from Etsy many times.  Always happy with the item itself, delivery, and considerate packaging.  Also, 9:10 times I get a small personalized Thank You card.  I get things that are truly unique and sometimes customized.

Yes. At the start of the pandemic when the only widely available masks were cloth that tied, I bought 6 from a woman who was a member of the same cross stitch mb that I am on.

Her ratings were perfect and the items were handcrafted and expertly made and a good price. When disposable masks became available, I washed and put away the cloth ones but they are so pretty I won't toss them.

I shop on Esty.

I love the pretty cloth place mats I have gotten with dozens of patterns,

I have gotten wonderful handmade sterling from Crystal Lee, a metalsmith, and bought a metal wrapped pendant that was much smaller than I thought.  The seller wouldn't take it back; he won't be selling any more to me.
