I never had a problem leaving feed back before on e-bay and I have been buying from them for years. I went to leave feedback for an item that I received and it wasn't even listed. The only item it shows is an item I won on and I haven't even received it yet. I tried to contact the seller to say I can't find a way to leave feedback and when I do I enter my e-bay information (name) to continue and it says I an not the buyer (Yes I am) or the seller. I can't even find a way to e-mail e-bay. Has anyone else had these problems recently?TIA

Hi, Butterfly12!

I haven't had this problem. Does the transaction show up when you look at your "Purchase History?"

When I do have questions I use these steps:

Sign into eBay, choose "Customer Support" at the top of the page. Click "Contact eBay" and choose the appropriate categories. In this case, probably "Buying" and "Leave and receiving Feedback." Then, you'll see an option to "Call Us." (eBay's customer support isn't very email-friendly.) When you click on that, you'll see a popup with the phone number and a specific one-time passcode to expedite your call.

eBay had a MAJOR technical problem on 9/3/14, to the point that they issued apologies to customers and vendors after the fact. Possibly, this affected your transaction info but who knows.{#emotions_dlg.unsure}

Best of luck, and hope this helps!Smile

After writing this it dawned on me that I had to change my password and when I went to sign in with my new password it wouldn't work so I signed in as a guest. That explains why I can't leave feedback. I had to notify the person I purchased from and explain why I couldn't leave any feedback. That really stinks as I always love to do that for people. In the meantime my password is now working with no problem. Thanks for responding.

Don't get me started with that change your password nonsense. I got the change message so I complied and changed my password. A couple of days later I got the change message again so I changed it again. Now it works on my computer but not on my tablet. When I try to log in on my tablet I get the change message and there is no way to override it.

So, I called Ebay, explained my problem and asked if they could just remove the change message and allow me to log in with my newest password. I was instructed to try several "fixes" and each one failed. The Ebay person, after consulting another Ebay person, told me to just wait a half hour while they fixed it. I waited a half hour, then an hour, and then a day, and then several days. It's still not fixed but now I get a message on my tablet from Ebay that they sent instructions to change my password to my email. I don't want to change my password on my tablet because it won't match the one on my computer and then I'll be told to change it on my computer and it won't work on my tablet... BTY, the email to which they sent the instructions isn't even my email.

Glad you got it sorted out, Butterfly12.Smile I'm sorry you've run into such a mess, occasional rain. The minute I heard about possible problems with eBay's passwords, I changed mine on the full website, and then logged into the iPad app with the new one with no problems.

To start, are you using an eBay app on your tablet or are you accessing the full website? If it's an app, did you try deleting it (and all its data) and then downloading it fresh, like it's the first time you've used it, to see if you could then sign in with the website password? Also, what do you mean when you say "the email to which they sent the instructions isn't even my email?" They use the one you have on file, on the website, under your account.
