When we got our dog I bought a Dyson. It is heavy and cumbersome. It has been taking up space in my closet for many years. We went to the local vacuum repair store to ask if he wanted it. He laughed and pointed to the entire back of his store - it was all Dyson's he repaired and people did not pick up.

I then bought a Hoover Windtunnel MAX P.A.W.S.

Love it. It is still going strong. It has to be over 7 years old and it is a real reliable workhorse. Had picked up long collie hair and never had any trouble.

I think I have tried just about every brand of vacuums and this is the first one that has lasted and worked well for this long.

Re: Dyson vs ???

[ Edited ]

I have a Dyson cordless and have no complaints about it. It's just great.  I bought it on QVC 7 years ago and it works like it did on day 1. No problems. I also had a little corded Shark about 15 years years ago. It was reliable, lightweight and excellent for what I paid which was about $100. Lasted about 5 years. I couldn't find it again so I replaced it with another shark model that never compared to the first.

That was about 10 years ago. "It still does the job"...according to my husband. I don't use it anymore. I settled for that  one for 3 years! Hubby likes it... so he says; but he only uses it if the Dyson battery goes. 😂  I stick with the Dyson cordless and I'll wait for it to charge up.

@CindyDale  There will be a Dyson TSV next month on April 3;

if you're able to wait. I'm hoping it's their newest model. I'm really interested in that one.
