Duraflame Stoves, Question...

I purchase many this past season..but..........

I can't find the book that comes with any,,,probably tossed them out..

Does anyone know how to replace the light bulb so that the flames appear..

I called QVC, I called the company,,(its not under Duraflame) and they emailed me everything but where the bulb is......

Has anyone had to replace it yet, or know where it ight be, before I take a hammer to the stupid thing?

Thanks in advance....

Re: Duraflame Stoves, Question...

www.http://answers.walmart.com/answers/1336/product/17195610/questions.htm?page=2 (this isn't a good link but I came to the page by googling your exact question.)

There is a discussion on the topic here. I'm not sure if this is your same unit but you can usually google for an owner's manual or look for a Youtube video showing you how.

It uses regular small light bulbs. Check your owners manual, it tells you how to change it. You have to take the back panel off, and remove the bulb and replace the bulb and the panel. Unplug it first of course.

I believe it's just a standard 40 watt chandelier bulb available everywhere. Rear panel opens to change bulb, see your manual.

The stove uses a 120V, 40watt candelabra light bulb (with E-12 socket base) which can be purchased just about anywhere... including right on this website :-)

(Just search for: Bulbrite Industries 40W Incandescent Torpedo Chandelier Bulb with E12 Base in Clear)

To replace the bulb you simply remove the back panel and follow a couple simple steps, and Voila! Your stove will be back in business!

Re: Duraflame Stoves, Question...

{#emotions_dlg.biggrin} I went to the Walmart site and read it all...

I figured I'd be taking out all those screws in the back, but hoping there would be an easier route..lol

Thanks again....
