One opened Saturday, over 35 miles from us. Reports are it was lines out the door, people standing in NE PA in freakin January......for a donut.

Now, this is coming from someone that would stand in line for one thing only, life saving meds for my kids. Not even for myself just my kids. No food, person (singer, movie, event) would get me to stand in line.

My DD is off today and heading out to shop about 11 miles from the donut place. She said she might go for donuts, she doesn't mind lines. I officially raised a crazy person. lol  It. Is. A. Stupid. Donut.

It's a fun place to go, but I don't think the donuts that good.

I think I am the only person on the planet that does not like donuts.  I cannot even remember the last time I had one.

A Duck Donut opened near us. Haven't been there yet.

But there is a Krispy Kreme around the corner from the Duck Donut.

Might have to do a "taste test" one of these days.

Where I live there's a DD on every corner. I do love DD. But I cannot even imagine standing in lines like that even on an 80 degree Sumner morning. It's not like the place is only going to be open for one day so they can't wait a few days. The same thing happened here when Krispy Kreme opened two shops here. They didn't last long. Gone after about 2 years.

Had not heard of them , however found  two in va and Rckville, Md. Company began in Duck, NC  in 2007.

Guess the draw is  that they are made to order , You would really need a staff  dedicated to details to  thrive.

You can choose your own toppings. I got one with chocolate and bacon and it was delicious!

Looked at the menu. It appears that donut part is the same w/different flavored icing and toppings.

@willomenia  From what I read you make your own as far as icing and toppings.  Just cake donuts, basic vanilla.  Not a fan of cake donuts.

Now, give me a fresh hot Ktispy Kreme glazed and we are good. Even then I wouldn't stand in line for one.
