I'm using the gas cooktop on our new dual fuel range for the first time today and I notice our dog is very antsy. Has anyone ever had this experience while using a gas cooktop? I know how this must sound by I know our dog, and he's usually pretty laid back in the house. He was a rescue that we adopted 2 years ago. As I'm sitting at the pc writing this, he's sitting on my feet and won't leave my side. I will say that I'm a bit anxious using the range for the first time so that may be what he's sensing. I would appreciate any help/advice you can give me. Thanks.

Hi Scoop. I have a dual fuel Bosch and I have a Lab as well. Never had an issue. I wonder if the clicking sound scares him? My Lab doesn't react at all but perhaps there is something about the clicking sound that alerts him? Just reassure him and hopefully he and you will get used to it soon. Love my stove. I was afraid of it at first too but now I wouldn't have any other type. Good luck! LM

Thanks, LM for the info. He did react to the clicking noise when I turned the stove on. That could be it. Jake is a black lab mix and my stove is also a Bosch. I was so used to my electric coil range for the past 20 years so this is a big change. I will take your advice and reassure him if he gets anxious. Thanks so much for help. Enjoy your weekend!

Scoop, the convection setting is awesome. Both broil and roast. Best meat I ever tasted. Good luck! LM
