That is more concerning since there are hostile countries within a few miles of the German border. The article did not indicate they were huge car sized drones like we are seeing here, unless I missed something. The article said the government determined those drones in Germany over the air base were not flown by amateurs.

I live in California and have not seen these unidentified flying objects. They say there are several different types, some as large as a car. For some reason, the government refuses to tell us what they are. They appear near important infrastructue such as roads or government bases. My theory is that they have been developed by our government as anti- terrorist devices and they do not want the public to know. Or they are actual UFOs from somewhere in the universe and they are afraid to tell the public.

People don't want the logical explanation I'm afraid. The far fetched or nefarious is much more fun, I guess.

Officials are telling us what they are finding from their investigations, but its not the answer the fear mongers want to hear. Therefore, the talking point has become "the government is lying to us".

When was the last time the government lied to the people about national safety and security? I'm not trying to be contrary, I don't believe everything officials say at face value. But when it comes to protecting our citizens, as a whole, I think the government is pretty upfront.

If we were about to be invaded by aliens or were about to experience a meteor strike, I believe we would be told.

I'm just saying the govt. not being transparent has led to so much misinformation & fear among the public.

@Lakelife62, understanding is that a large number of the sightings have been identified as nothing of which to be concerned. But not all, and not the drones around sensitive areas.
