@Susan345 I too use FB Purity and love it. I have told so many people people about it, especially the 'gripers' but they seem to be afraid of it. I love blocking all the ads!

The same with me too.  When someone complains about ads and unwanted content I recommend Purity.  Bur some never get it and keep complaining.

Re: Drastically reducing my Facebook involvement

I have and use FB but it is very limited.  Only 50 friends and I just don't read any of the ads.

I can follow family that is scattered all over.  Never see them but can see new babies and who passed!

I only interact with friends!

Enjoy your peace of mind!

You are too funny! Best of luck to TBL this season. I've been to few TBL/Flyers games in Tampa Bay. Your crowds are a lot of fun.😁

Flyers Nation is the FB group I follow.

same to you. Let's talk hockey on here when we can. I'm also RedWings fan from when I lived in Michigan. No angst. Just fun 🤩

Ha, ha, @beckyb1012 ,  I guess a lot of people get a kick out of assuming the identities of these larger-than-life personalities, when they can.  It can be confusing, for sure.

@Oznell  oh my goodness. Tell your hubs that you've been chatting with a theology nerd on here. I'm a Calvinist and love to discuss the finer point of Calvinism vs Arminianism. And let's throw in some complementarianism too. Is there any way for me to find his fb group?

I was not aware that she had her baby. Congratulations to her and her husband.

It's fine for keeping up with family and friends. Also, I have a few groups that interest me. I avoid controversy, so my involvement is less than an hour a day on FB.

Re: Drastically reducing my Facebook involvement

I just recently deactivated my fb account after having been hacked by an idiot in Brisbane Australia. Now why someone in that part of the world would want to mess with a little old gray haired gal from a small town is beyond me. Anyway, it was too much hassle to fix everything so I deactivated which means I can reinstate my account at any time. I kept an active account only because this is a means for many of my friends to disseminate information. Communities or groups also. I also occasionally tape our church service live to put it up on our fb page for live or later viewing. My account has been off for about a week and I honestly don't miss it. I may never reactivate it.
