Then there are ones who like to drive all conversations and run the boards for awhile. That gets old too. It must go to their heads to be so powerful. Here. . .
I can, (but of course won't) immediately name three posters that fit this description. As long as all of their groupies continue to fall in line, all is well. As soon as someone pushes back, questions or disagrees with them, the fire breathing dragons emerge. I do my best to ignore them as much as possible. I can only wonder what they would do if everyone here stopped paying attention to them. I also wonder what it is that convinces other posters to allow themselves to continually be played by them. Tis a mystery.

Intimate, personal details disclosed about one's private life on a public forum leads me to immediately think "Drama Queen ".
I, too, have 3 in mind. Drama Queens looking to create cyberspace drama.

This subject is very interesting---I don't think I know of any drama queens in my life---I can't think of any right now. Hopefully I am not one---but who knows???

Oh yes,a few on here, and to make it worse people reply to their threads!!

People respond because they enjoy the drama. They read Dear Abby for the same reason.
I sometimes enjoy a bit of drama; had a neighbor who could turn a stolen parking spot into an event. He was fun.
The whiners, they annoy me.

And does one of these Drama Queens play an especially mean game of
"Yes, but....." ?

Anyway, if a person is bothering you enough to post here perhaps you should un-friend them, or whatever it's called. Give yourself a break.
I take their nonsense with humor and a grain of salt.

I have been subjected to incessant drama in some relationships I have had over the years. Being a caring person I know I have often been taken advantage of. I call them emotional 🧛 vampires.
As far as the forums, there are probably 4 or 5 here that take advantage of the kindness of others. One today is busy blaming others for lack of reading comprehension.🙄
