So who watched yesterday and today's continuing story? What do you think? Why can't the truth come out?
What a mystery. AND - where was the other guy who was at the house with them? How come nobody even mentioned him, except to say that he wasn't on the show? I would have liked to hear HIS story.
I feel for the parents - they'll never know the truth. OR, maybe they do.???????

I think they were drunk and honestly don't know what happened. Or, they aren't sure of what they saw or heard. I don't think the young man killed himself.

Missed it. What happened, in a couple of sentences or so...........?

I think Dr. Phil hit the nail on the head today when he said to the girl (it could have been horseplay, wrestling, etc) and the gun went off.
If you listen carefully to the recordings, it sounds like it was rehearsed a little - kind of like they knew what happened (an accident) they then called police and were very distraught (they weren't acting, they were really scared) but there was something in her voice that said she knew exactly what happened. The second I heard the way she sounded, I just felt that she knew....... JMO of course - but what else could it have been? Science really doesn't lie.
They were very adamant in saying Jake shot himself, yet they also say they don't remember what happened. They never saw him put the gun to his head yet they absolutely said he shot himself? Something is very wrong. So frustrating.

Ro: Four kids playing around, shooting a 357 and one kid dies. Shot in the left side of his head and he's right-handed. No powder burns or stippling, which would occur if he shot himself at close range. The way it looked, the gun had to be 18-24" away from him and that would be impossible for him to have done himself. A real mystery.
Everyone says he shot himself and his parents absolutely deny that he would that. He had no reason. He had a child when he was 16 and his father wants to get his death certificate changed from "suicide" to something else.
Dr. Wecht and Jack Trimarco were the experts and although the two kids who were there and said they took lie detector test and came out clean, the ones they took with Jack, came out "deceptive" - both of them. Dr. Phil talked to each one separately and they were each surprised at the results, insisting they don't know any more than they already told, although neither of them admitted they saw Jake put the gun to his head. Very, very confusing.

You mean (allegedly) they were horsing around when the kid decided to shoot himself right then and there in front of his friends? Hmmm.
I didn't see the show, BTW. What a sad sad situation.

Didn't Dr Phil say that a 4 on a lie detector was deceptive and they both scored an 8?
I think they made a pact to say they don't know, and are sticking to it.
You could tell they are hiding something, and the parents said they don't want anyone arrested, they just want to know the truth.

I agree with you and thought the girl was close to cracking when Dr. Phil was talking to her after the polygraph.
The parents deserve to know what happened.

I also thought that the boy smiled a little too much. Maybe just nervousness, but maybe not.
