While home at lunch, I was watching a news program on ABC. It was hosted by Amy Robach and Dr. Jennifer Ashton was on. They were answering viewer questions.
One of the questions was if you have cleaning people or a cleaning service come to your home, should you continue. Dr. Ashton's answer was, no. You should NOT have them continue. You should limit the people coming into and out of your home.

At first I thought the title was about Dr. Jennifer Aniston. I was like, well she must have been going to school for a while without telling the press. lol I need to go find my glasses!
So to clarify, is the answer that you should or shouldn't continue with a cleaning service?

I was confused by the answer too.

Putting the two sentences together, I think she meant You should NOT continue to have them come. That would make sense with the next sentence about limiting who comes into the house.

@Porcelain: Dr. Jennifer Aniston??? I thought the same at first glance. LOL But, to answer your question, Dr. Ashton said NO, we should not allow people in our homes at this time.

@Porcelain , should NOT continue.
The goal is to limit the number of people coming in and out of your home.
...looks like her keyboard dropped a word.

I tried to tell this to my Mother in Law yesterday. Her cleaning lady is expected on Saturday. I told her she shouldn't have anyone entering her home. My sweet mother in law in more concerned because the cleaning person needs the money. I'm hoping she may have watched that program.

If I had cleaning people I would cancel them. They are in other people's homes all day every day. I would not take the chance. Last week I refused the normal visit from the exterminator. I was shocked the building management were still having him come around. (I live in New Rochelle, lots of people in my building were in quarantine, so...).

My 88 year old dad canceled his cleaning lady. He still paid her. I don't think it would be safe to have anyone come around him at this time.

Think of a cleaning person as being like a 'Typhoid Mary'...same type of situation.
