I don't know why I didn't think of this before. A few days ago, I had leftover fried eggs, practically poached the way I gently fry eggs, so offered a few pieces to my dogs, and they went crazy for it. The next morning, I fixed an egg, and divided it between the two. The male has been a pain since I adopted him as I would have to coax him to eat, and some days he wouldn't at all, but with the egg in his food, he licks the plate so clean that one couldn't tell there had been anything on it. He then goes to the girl's plate and licks her's clean. She is a not a morning "person," but nearly stumbles over herself to get to the food with the egg.
