A local rescue group teams up with a municipal pool for a fund raiser every year.  There is an admission fee for the pool party.  They have games and contests and of course lots of swimming and playing.  It is packed every year.

NIce that they do this. I bet it was beyond fun.

I have always wondered if it was safe for dogs to be exposed to the chlorine in pools, though.

We have a pond, and while the dogs we have had have never been interested in swimming, my brother's dog loved to when she would come here.

It's no more harmful to a dog than to humans.  But you shouldn't let them drink it like they are drinking out of a water bowl.  And to be safe, you should hose them off quickly.

I have a friend who uses Bromine in her pool instead of chlorine just to be safe but that is also supposed to be better for people.

Thought ya'll would enjoy the GIFs.

Yep, Chesapeake Bay Retriever: light brown with a wavy coat.

Love when the little tongue comes out.  8)

Weims are a silvery taupe with a smooth coat.

Don't have a dog myself, but I'd go to doggie pool parties and other canine gatherings any day!

Thankfully, most of us definitely do love our pets.  Woman Happy

That would be a great idea for a fund raiser for our local Humane Society.  Thanks for the story and the videos!

It looked like they were having a blast!!!
