Doggie Night Pooping?

My little Cairn has been getting me up at night sometimes to go out & poop. She just started this about a month ago. Before that (for months) she never made a sound during the nite when she was in her crate. Her main bowel movement is about 8 a.m. & is usually a good one, but when she goes out at night, will be maybe a few short pieces (sorry to be so graphic- LOL).

Has anyone else had this experience? Would a food with lower Fiber content help, like around 4 or 5%. She does go out right before bedtime. Any suggestions?
