Just wondering if anyone has ever solved the mystery of dog farts? My gosh, I'm sitting here with my 11 yr old female Dalmatian who is cute as a button, but her farts are driving me out of the room! And if the 10 yr old male joins in - yikes! Obviously, food and treats play a role, but seriously, realizing that all dogs pass gas, does anyone have any tricks for making them less powerful?

I used to have a boston terrier who could clear a room. LOL Got to be some kind of digestive thing. Take 'em outside might clean them out. LOL

I give my dogs a tablespoon of yogurt with their food every evening. It seems to help a little, but they still get gassy once in a while.

Some dogs seem to be more prone to the flatulence. We had a boxer that could almost clear the house. Sometimes I think the dog got blamed when it was one of my brothers though. I have heard some people say that making changes to their diet helps.

When I fed my dogs Blue Buffalo, we had that problem.. I changed to another food. Problem solved.

I would give her GRAIN FREE food. I get mine at Petsmart. I bought some yesterday and heard a great testimony from the SA. It has changed my little 9yo min pin's life. She had tummy problems and skin allergies, NO MORE! If you do research, it says that dogs can't digest grains! I use Nature's Recipe, but there are many, just look for grain free~

Yes. We have a mutt. And YOWZA, he can clear a room, too. One time recently it seemed that he actually shocked himself with his own stink!{#emotions_dlg.scared}{#emotions_dlg.laugh}

I had two German Shepherds and they never had gas. {#emotions_dlg.blush} I think it's just a particular dog's biology.

I recall a dog I knew who could clear a room, but he was on a lot of medications.
