I've had dogs all my life. In fact, I usually have 2 or 3 all the time as I rescue.
I rescued a lab/great dane a few years ago. He was an abused pup, cowering in the back of his crate when I saw him and I couldn't leave him there.
Well, this big guy (he's 95 pounds) dreams ALL the time. Sometimes he yips a bit, he breathes heavy, he jumps, twitches, runs in his sleep. I don't know if these are good dreams, where he's at our favorite quarry playing in the water and chasing geese, or if it's nightmares.
When he does this at night, leaning up against me in bed, I just move and he settles back down. I don't know if I should wake him fully, or just leave him be? Any suggestions?
