Our daughter and her precious family adopted a black lab a few months back. Luna has added so much joy to their family and came sooooo well trained and behaved. She is also a great hunting dog, so that adds to the value of her in their family, so to speak. Our grandson spends every morning before kindergarten in the back yard, playing fetch with her.

Last week she did not eat and was losing so much weight. They took her to the vet, and ended up having her put in the hospital over night with an IV. Tests are being run and the results come back today. It appears it might be kidney failure or a kidney disease. IF it is the disease, they have to be soooo careful as it is contagious to them, too. Luna is 5 and that is in her favor. They are wondering if she got in some bad slough water while they were out hunting. Not only are they worried about the results, but the expense involved is huge, too. Money is tight for them, like so many others right now. You hate to have things come down to money.
