Dog Booties (or Socks) for Wood Floors?

We have natural wood floors and an open floor plan for the kitchen, dining and great room areas. Also have a ten yr old Golden Retriever who has started having a lot of trouble getting up from the floor. He has been sliding. I have been looking into getting him some indoor booties or socks to make it easier for him.

Anyone else do this and have suggestions on brands that work?
