Does everything delivered by FedEx require a signature?

I just found out that something I ordered is being sent via FedEx and is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. It's a very inexpensive item, and I had no idea it was going to be sent that way.

Does anyone know if they always require a signature upon delivery? I'm not sure I'll be here when it's delivered. Thanks to all who respond!
