I know it's a long shot that someone on this board might work at Target Rx, but if there's anyone who does....do you get to have a weekend off occasionally?

I'm job-hunting, and I'm willing to cover just about any of the hours that the Target pharmacies are open, but I wonder whether or not it's likely that you can sometimes get the whole weekend off....like if you have to travel out of town two or three times a year.

The schedule is listed as "variable," and I'm sure it changes from week to week. It seems like surely people sometimes have a family wedding or other reason they can't work a weekend once in a while. Some jobs that include weekends try to rotate them so no one has to work every single weekend; but then, I realize that the pharmacies don't have as many employees to cover shifts as the cashiers or other areas do, so I wonder if it's an issue.

I think I would love the job, but I'm worried about this one thing and don't know how to ask the manager in an interview without making it sound like it's an issue that comes up frequently for me. It really doesn't; but I dread getting a job that I'd have to leave, just to get time off for an out-of-town function. I know someone who had to quit her job because she couldn't get the two weeks off she needed for a once-in-a-lifetime trip, but I don't have that luxury!
