Doxo is a third person bill paying service that connects different businesses and is suppose to organize finances and make bill paying easier.

I owe money to the state this year and had to use this service to pay it online. They didn't have any other way to pay other than Doxo or to send a check. The payment went through, but I'm not real pleased with the account and plan to delete it when the state receives their money.

My card was charged several days ago, and Doxo then sent a check to the state, which should reach them this Friday. There was $4.00 service charge for processing this. I don't like the length of time it takes Doxo to do this or the service charge. Even though it seemed to work this time, I don't trust them with my every day bills and would rather pay directly to the businesses.

Anyone have pros or cons about this service?

I've never heard of it but am curious as to why you just didn't send a check to the state yourself?  You didn't save any time with this it seems.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

It is available in my area and I refuse to pay $ to pay bills--I just do it thru my bank--no charge.

I pay everything online, so thought it would be easier to pay taxes online. I didn't know about the service charge ahead of time, but decided to give it a try just this once since I had already set up the account.  I don't like sending checks if I can help it., but in this case it wouldn't have mattered.

If you pay online, you can transfer money from your bank. They will send a check if a direct transfer isn't accepted. My banks don't charge a fee either way.

I just checked it and they seem to do everything the Banks do except the charge a fee.

Don't know if it's a fee per transaction. Didn't get too far.

Doxo seems a costly middle man. I'd contact my representative.

I have never heard of it. I hate anything like that when it charges a service fee. I would have just sent a check. Sounds like deleting it is a good idea if you are having doubts about it. Make sure you print out any documentation of your payment transaction for your records.
