I asked my DH to pick up some 3M tape about three weeks ago. I had lots of it on hand so I had not need to buy any for years. I use it to tape papers that come in the mail that I must be able to find immediately to the Formica surface of the doors inside my pantry. There will usually be five or six things taped there.
My new roll of tape has tape that does not stay stuck on the Formica. My older papers, taped with the previous 3M Scotch Tape are still sticking. It's the tape in the green dispenser.

I noticed that it is much harder to tear/cut the tape on the sharp edger thingie.
Also, it's not as sticky as usual.

I also hadn't needed to buy any in a long time until now. What I noticed is that as soon as I cut off a piece, it started to curl under and stick to itself.

Sounds like the only thing it sticks to is itself!

We were running low on Scotch Tape. So when we saw a package of 6 Scotch Tape dispensers at Costco we bought it.
Now I notice 3 are Magic tape and 3 are gift wrap tape. I don't know the difference but I wonder if I will be disappointed. I will now have to check what type of tape it is before I use it.
Wish I noticed the difference in the type of tape before I bought them. It was on display when you walked into Costco. So you walk by and throw it in the cart and move on.

It's hard to tear on that little cutter.

Last year I was in the Dollar Store and bought tape. HORRORS! The tape wasn't the frosty on the roll kind, but the old original!
DONE with them!

Been struggling with some of the wide packing tape . Don't remember where I bought it , ? ,aybe Costco but it is almost impassible to tear using the self cutting edge and it curls on itself horribly . Have been boxing items to donate and the tape is a night mare .

Maybe I should buy the red Scotch Transparent Tape instead of the Green Magic Invisible Tape.
Sometimes the littlest things can get more complicated than you expect.
