Does anyone else suffer from sleep apnea?

I am going for a sleep test in a couple of weeks; my doctor thinks I have sleep apnea. I really don't know much about it, but I guess I will soon find out. I woke up gasping for breath, which is a systom. Also I don't sleep more than 2-3 hours at a time. I guess I thought that was normal. Anxious to hear from anyone out there who deals with this.
