All medications have some side affects, but doesn't affect "everyone"!

I have been taking this medication for years now, since they came out with the generic for synthroid, my insurance will only pay for the generic! Thyroid problems run on my mother's side of the family. My mother, sister, aunts, and cousins all have thyroid problems! Never had any problems with the meds . But "yes" I did gain weight till my Dr. got my levels correct, and "no" I have been unable to lose it!
