I think there is a thread on the wellness forum that the ladies support each other, doing exercises. Have you looked at that? I haven't read much of it, mostly going by the title.

PS I'd be no help to you, I'm not very dependable when it comes to that kind of stuff. (sadly)

MJ 12 everyone was so nice but I went into the loss group and there were six of us and we had 4 minutes to say what we felt or where going through..........then the leader prayed for us and it was over.........I was in shock thinking it would be like a discussion group and sharing and encouraging but it was just each lady telling what was going on in their life or wrong with them and then we left......so it is not what I need.

Thanks for responding! Well you know what, at least you went, that took courage IMO to try something new. And at least you know it's not the best fit, right? Good luck to you, I mean that.

R and R, I know it is difficult when friends move away...one friend has moved south the other one will be moving with in the next year and yet another winters in Florida, it's hard filling their space especially as we get older. I do not have your health problems so I do not have that issue to deal with, but I know that friends, even one good friend is important for mental health, it's nice to have someone to do things with, lunch, shopping, etc.

In the spring/summer I walk as much as possible for exercise, usually by my self, I put some ear buds in and listen to the radio as I walk, I really enjoy walking. In the evenings my husband will walk with me but he is not a talker so there is not much conversation on that walk, ha! Since you have a treadmill in your home try to get on a schedule, like walking right after you get up in the morning, when I had a treadmill that is what I did, it seemed to get me going first thing, and seemed to set the pace for the day.

I have no answers for you but I think therapy (individual) will really help you work thru your illness and the losses in your life, it sounds like you have been thru a lot.......take care

I'd also suggest that you post over on the Wellness forum. More likely to get a better response to what you're seeking.

I saw my brain doctor this past Monday and it was a great visit but since I am alone in human form....my friend moved away.........my other friend here in town is getting married and I am looking for another church so he wants me to go to a therapist and talk about my loss...........loss of being able to work in the public..........loss of the moving of my friends.........loss regarding my accident..........loss of my son moving away and not being close to my grandbaby so I am going to go talk to someone about the loss in my life and to get excited again about living. Plus to talk about this disease that there is no cure that is so painful...........

R and R, you have a plane ticket. Get yourself on a plane to Minnesota and see the doctors who treat your disease.

Hi Rand R---I think the therapy is a wonderful idea. So is excercise. Try your local Y, see what programs they have. Here there are all kinds of classes. We also have adult education through the junior college. I have taken all sorts of art classes and even took a knitting class. Speaking of knitting most good yarn shops with offer classes for free and women get together and chat and work on projects. keep me posted!
