That's how I look at it. I can't imagine only using texting for work, at least the field I'm in.

My sisters husband had a major stroke 5 years ago. And over a hundred since then. It is difficult for us to talk on the phone because his needs are many. So I visit her a few times a year and in the meanwhile we text each other daily. We reserve a bit of time doing this throughout the day. There is nothing sweeter than getting up in the morning and seeing a text from her telling me how much she loves me.

Not for people who have prepaid minutes. The longer texts, emails, pictures costs a lot. Simple text deducts 30 seconds on my phone. Pictures sometimes over 5 minutes.

I text because that's how to get to someone quickly. I sometimes text and say ""I sent you an email."" I don't like to text more than two sentences because it's hard for me with my fingers. It's much easier for me to type because I can keep my hands and fingers flat to the keyboard.

People have been saying that all of these new gadgets are going to replace computers. That is not going to happen.

Email serves a great purpose for businesses, news outlets and a way to send documents.

You can take pictures of the documents and send them via a text. I do it all the time.

I take pictures of all kinds of things and store them, but not documents. I don't want to try to read it on a 4 inch screen ${#emotions_dlg.laugh}$

I don't know how anyone can say that texting is quicker, unless they have some different set up than I have. When I email, I can type on a real keyboard - I learned to type at school and can type pretty fast - but when I text, I have to carefully pick each tiny letter, one at a time, with the very tip of a finger. I hit the wrong letter about one time in ten, or I get rrrrrrrrrrepeats that I never intended.

It's a right palaver to change from upper to lower case, or to get elements like hyphens, parentheses etc.

I hate texting because it's so slow.

My internet was down this morning, so I had to text DH about another household issue. It was painful, compared to email.

You click on the item and it enlarges to almost twice the size.

My point was that there are different ways you can get a document to someone and texting is one way. Don't get your britches in a knot lol
