Unfair judgement here! Many OLDER people are very knowledgeable and know how to find out the "facts". Age doesn't make anyone less intelligent!
I agree. My apologies.
I know this thread was started in direct response to my thread. I should have just ignored it.

Hahaha Oh boy. Once again I'm a day late and a dollar short. I have no idea what this or "the other thread" is about. Sigh

Since I'm the one who started this thread, I think I can answer why it was started.
Your thread did give me the idea, but it is in reference to just about any topic that comes up be it vaccines, how much to give for a graduation gift, the validity of global warming etc. and some people step back and say there might be more to the story, or those facts can be disputed with other facts.
Someone always comes on (or several someone's) and has to shake their head, or call someone a science denier, or claim they aren't smart enough to understand the topic, just because they don't buy into the program offered in the OP.
Rather that just argue their side of the issue, they find fault because somone doubts/questions/denies their information.

Oops.
Me too..on most days.
But this time, I have a feeling my 'concerning' response caused a firestorm of sorts...and I didn't have a chance to read anything post my response before it was deleted. Shoo.

And pretty much everyone, of all ages, loses respect for those who holler for mama to make it all go 'way when things don't go the way they want.
If you're referring to the other thread I requested it to be removed because it could have harmed someone who did not read the entire thread and used the app. I would never want that to happen.
I must have missed something at the end. Can anyone tell me how this went from a really good idea, to someone could get harmed?
You mean that skepticism actually got through to someone? Or did something else happen?

I understand what you're saying. Justified or not I think happens because it's not just a random news story but an event on a very personal level. It surrounds something "we" are willing to battle long and hard over. And it's hard to not to make or take it personal.

Didnt see the thread in question, but if someone has a different opinion on vaccines or graduation gifts, etc it is not a good thing?
Or the way they disagree is not a good thing? Or they all should agree? Everyone here will have different ideas, values and opinions on each and every subject here.
