hckynut(john) I agree with your post. We should ALL learn from life experiences instead of becoming followers.

Quite a silly generalization. I am an older person and every other older person that I know is quite discerning. People who don't believe things even after they have the "facts" run the gamut from young folks to the elderly.

It depends on how I came across the information. If I got it myself or from someone I knew, I would likely believe it. If someone I didn't know gave it to me, I would want to know more.

The contrary, really. YOU showed US. Just perhaps not exactly what you intended.
My post to you was for some reason deleted.
I've always held my own here. I do realize when I make a mistake. Out of stubbornness I kept an argument going in my thread when I should have realized there was validity in those who questioned the revealing of personal information.
I asked the mods to delete the thread, not wanting to have someone who was not savvy on how apps work to use it and have their info compromised.
If that is who I am, and that is what I showed to "US", then so be it. I am completely content with that.
You know what they say, no good deed goes unpunished. That's certainly true on the internet. I'm sorry it went down the way it did. You really aren't responsible for people that are ignorant of how technology works. @Say Nay

Yes, someone posted that they believe that people act in good faith here. Well, some have clearly proven they aren't worthy of that trust.

@jaxs mom Some of us have seen it first hand.
And it was really bad because money was involved. Sad situation.

I would like to be able to say that I do as well, but I simply don't.
I don't doubt/question/feel skeptical about every person every day in every situation, but I believe that a good deal of the time, people are acting in their best interest, or in the interest of something they are passionate about for some personal reason or gain. I think it is a big part of the human nature of many people, and even though many aren't doing so with malicious intent, they are doing it nonetheless.
