At first, I tried no napping. This is when I retired. Then I read it's okay, and possibly beneficial to nap. So, I take an one hour nap during the week, if I want to. ALL those years of getting up early, in order to get to work on time. No more! Plus, snow days? Don't worry about those at all. (Used to teach little kids.)

I am not a naper. I go to bed later than I should but I will sleep to long. DH gets me up late morning if I am still sleeping. It’s hard to change.

I get really tired around 3:00 pm.
I get up by 5 am and I'm going all day. I try not to nap because I won't be able to sleep at night. Sometimes I can't help it, and I doze off for a few minutes. It's not really a deep sleep, and sometimes I feel worse when I wake up.

Unless I'm sick, no. I only sleep at night. But I certainly understand the need to nap/rest for those who are battling health problems.

I've read that taking naps (overall) shortens your life span. I had heard this before. I never take naps. Even when I feel tired/sleepy during the day, I won't tak the nap.

Thank you I have drank enough to float a battleship, I wake up every two hours to use the rest room during the night
I am getting IV gamma globulin infusions, my body does not make it and I have a very low resistance to infection. Over the past 10 years I have had both pneumonia shots twice and did not develop the necessary antibodies. Right now this is all very new to me
I too battle trips during the night to the potty. But, I try not to drink anything after 7:00.....and sometimes that doesn't work either. Heck, I've caught my self falling asleep on the potty.....lucky I didn't fall off.
How often do you get a treatment? Unfortunately, I don't know much about your situation. Will do some googling to read up on it.
Each treatment I took took only 1 hour, and by the time I was ready to leave, I was already dreading having to drive home....and once in the apartment I would collapse and get some rest. There have been nights when I just can't sit up past 9:00..... I drove myself to and from for each treatment.

I work through the week so, obviously, don't do it then. I try not to on the weekends because even after a short nap, it takes me hours to get fully awake and alert. Also, napping interferes with my sleeping at night so I'm better off not taking one.

No, no naps for me; and believe me, I've tried.
The folks I know and have known who live/lived to be 95+ all take/took naps.
So, I'm guessing that daily nap-taking at a routinely specific time can be a good thing. ![]()

@I am still oxox...... That's a pretty long time for 1 infusion.... Do you have someone that can drive you there and home. Oh how I hope and pray that this will be good for you.....and do the job it is supposed to do.
I tried to make that hour go by faster.....took my tablet and played games, and also had some snacks that I took. All around me folks were sleeping while they were getting their treatments. Before each treatment they did a blood test to be sure I could get the treatment. After my first Urvoy treatments were finished, they did have me have a port put in. Were having a hard time with my veins and were afraid they would collapse. To this day, I still have it in me.
I received an email from my sister about a new cancer treatment that is out there for folks that are in stage 4 cancer. And yes, some folks are being cured of the cancer. Will be sharing this information with my oncologist in January.

I only nap when I'm sick. Occasionally I'll take a nap on a Sunday afternoon but I that's more about being bored than tired. I don't take short power naps, when I nap it is for a couple of hours.
