He's also saying that he's running in 2016 - and that is a flat out lie - like the LAST two times he said the same thing.
He is a big buffoon.
I don't think he's a buffoon, terrier. He's a successful businessman who graduated from the Wharton School of Business, one of the top schools. Imagine that he cares enough about the American worker and this country to push this issue as he does ALL THE TIME. I see him on Fox on Monday mornings and he mentions it.
BTW, more good jobs would not only mean better lives for Americans. It would mean higher tax receipts, since these jobs being lost deplete government coffers as well. Another patriotic mogul, Ross Perot, spoke out about this in 1992 when Clinton and Congress were pushing NAFTA. I respect Trump and Perot, and many others do too. When people heard he was going to speak this weekend at that Iowa confab, ticket sales rose something like 400 or 500%. I do hear the consultant class running him down, but he is popular with the Tea Party and many other working people who are not Tea.
He is so successful that many of his businesses have failed and gone into bankruptcy - stiffing creditors and employees. He sells cheap stuff Made in China and says he only sells great products (and rails against trade policies that have benefited HIM).
He will never run for anything - then his finances would be revealed.
Last year, he hired a guy from the original Watergate (Roger Stone) to handle his PR. They pretended there was a groundswell of support for him to run for governor. A local WNY guy is a p/t radio guy at a station where I used to work. He was hired by Stone to start a "fake" grassroots movement. Trump used this to get his show renewed (it's his main source of cash). Last week he said at the Broadcasters meetings that he NEVER wanted to run...people were begging him to. It was a total lie...the guys were paid for and bought off by him. He made the upstaters look like fools.
NOW he is starting up the 2016 drumbeat again...all to get his show renewed again.
Why all this ugliness, Terrier? He's in real estate and is hardly the only one to be hit by the roller coaster ride property values have had in recent decades. I have no idea what you are talking about with this " 'fake' grassroots movement." People do like Trump even if you don't. Seriously, do you think he needs to run for president in order to get his show renewed? It was renewed for many years before he explored running for office.
You should be grateful that he raises this issue. The political class is robbing the little guy blind with all these trade agreements that send jobs overseas and impoverish us, not to mention all the importation of cheap labor for the business lobby. Good for Trump.
P.S.: Do you get your info from Kos? You seem to engage in the same kind of personal dirt-digging and smearing as they do.
I get my info from the source - from the people he hoodwinked last year - the upstate leaders he led into believing he might run (and said he would self finance)...they were clients of mine...and were made to look like fools.
Buzzfeed had a great article last year re: the fake grassroots movement. After that story came out Trump bowed out of the "race" - the day before NBC announced they would tape another season of Celebrity Apprentice Trump formally declared he wasn't running.
He used upstate people (who really believed in him at the time) to get another season out of NBC.
BTW - He also had a "bid" on the Buffalo Bills - it was laughably low. When he lost (as he knew he would) - he said the Pegulas overpaid and were bad business people (even though they are worth far more than he is!!!)

Last year? 2014? IF they were hoodwinked . . . last year they deserved it. IF any hoodwinking took place it would have been in mid-late 2011 and early 2012.
Exactly what was he going to be running for last year?

Yes, we hear a lot about "fake grassroots" from the Unhinged Left. This "fake grassroots" delivered historic victories in the 2010 and 2014 elections. And the "fake grassroots" appreciates Trump's raising of this critical issue that no other candidate would touch. Suuure!

Governor of NY. His PR guy started the fake grassroots campaign in Dec.-Feb. 2014...
They were forced to quit when Buzzfeed did the article of who was behind he PR campaign...and when Trump had to announce the signing for the Celebrity Apprentice taping (which started in March 2014).
It was WELL documented...even up to last week when he said he never had any intention of running...which was an out and out fabrication on his part. He made the WNYers look like fools - and they aren't pleased! He is a story from two days ago...

Thanks for your reply. I mistakenly thought you were talking about 2012 election. Guess I didn't recall Gov. C was up for election again in 2014. Second term? When did Pataki leave office, then Spitzer and who was the other? Then Cuomo x 2 terms?

Link to Buzzfeed...the locals I worked with look like fools!!!!

Whoa that's a long article. I'm so surprised they took him seriously. I thought everybody believes he is just blowing hot air or smoke about running for any office to any reporter with a camera and microphone that will listen.

Yes...they took him VERY seriously...he led them on through his dirty tricks PR guy.
The WNY locals fell for it...they were wined and dined by Trump at his 5th Ave office...he headlined a speech here and they paid for people to line the road from the airport to the banquet hall - half a mile.
It was all a ploy to show NBC he was popular and relevant.
He's a fool and a buffoon who needs the income from his TV show to survive.

I know zero about this man's situation but he obviously felt he had tried everything available to him until he ran out of options. Perhaps an anti-bullying law would have helped him.
