Do you remember this how-to column?

Do you remember the Pollys Pointers columns in the newspaper? The column had household tips where readers could submit or ask for advice. They were so useful and I loved collecting them in my scrapbooks. Do you have any household tips and hints?

I remember quite a few:

- Take a outside wood step on the porch and convert it so the top opens and closes like a toy chest. It's a easy hideaway for gardening gloves and children's toys.
-Put your flower/gardening seed envelope from your outside garden in a upside down sauce jar. The flower package will never fade from rain and you'll know whats planted there.

I love that step storage idea, it also would be handy for a couple of the steps leading up to the attic. Thank you!

Wow, I really really like this idea {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

I don't remember the article. Am interested in others hints. The one I used recently was spraying windex on ants in the house. I also sprayed the area they were coming in from along the moulding and the floor. They are gone.
