O/T to apologize to SuganNSpice for my recognition faux pas.
I think you were Rage in a past life? My dyslexic brain confused the two four-letter nics, both having letters G and A, I usually catch myself. If I'm way off, just consider me senile.

I try to read as much as possible before I respond. I will not read posts with multiple quotes.

This answer may have already been posted, as I admit, I did not read all the way through this entire thread.
Sometimes I come across a Thread, and I "Just Know" that I have to start reading from the last page first, as it will not last.....It's not like reading a book, where you know the ending will be there when you get to it.

I can tell by reading the responses..many's response depends on WHO the OP is!
I go by the topic and not the writer

Once all the multiple quoting starts, I have a hard time deciphering who is saying what. I tend to skip over those.
I do not read long posts either - I might skim the first paragraph, but then I move on.

Yes and No. It all depends on the subject matter. If I like the subject I may read most or all of the posts. If I don't like the subject or find the ensuing posts disrespectful or argumentative that ends it for me.
If posters question my views, I may further explain why I feel as I do but if another poster just appears to wish to be argumentative I usually let it go and will not respond. Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion and sometimes explanations are really not required.
Merry Christmas.
it's almost here.

brii, a long time ago I had a certain poster whack me across the hand with a ruler for answering to a long quoted thread, yet others around me were and kept on doing just that.. so I now try my best to delete most of the quoting .. sure makes it easier to read.. I try to skim most of a long thread but by the end it's gone to a whole different topic..

I'll skim through an entire thread if I'm really interested.
Most threads I don't even open.
