Days that are sunny and/or hot will drag me down profoundly.   It seems to sap every bit of energy from me.

I guess most people feel the opposite.   That's ok.  I've never been just like everybody else, anyway.

You're definitely not alone, CB ....  cooler weather energizes me, and here in southern California, we pray for rainy weather, as the darn drought has been going on for years!

I grew up in the Great Lakes area and loved the change of seasons.  I wish our seasons in SoCal weren't so subtle.   It can't be 95 degrees and sunny every day ...  I love and need the variety!

I don't mind cloudy dark days occasionally, a little rain is nice too. I would not like many days in a row of cloudy days.

I grew up in northern California. Beautiful weather.

About half of my married life was spent in Oregon. The first year we lived there it rained about 9 months straight! my husband, an Oregon native, said it was an unusual year and it was. I grew to love Oregon. It's so beautiful and green . Lots of rivers, lakes and of course the ocean.

Can't have all that green and water without the rain.

Now we live in Arizona where we rarely have rain and cloudy skies. I miss that. When it rains here I open the doors so I can hear it and smell it. 

No, I don't mind dark and cloudy at all.

I love weather!  I love windy,dark days best of all.  November is my favorite month,the starkness of bare trees against a steel grey sky invigorates me.  I'm glad I'm not alone.  Thanks for an interesting thread,OP.

I can handle a dark, cloudy day, every now and then. But.....when one turns into a string of them and it's dismal for days on end in the winter,  the effect on me is noticeable. I get depressed.  It affects me that much.
