Also, this is like cable TV......know several folks that don't have cable either.....

Yes, I actually know 9 people who do not use, or own, computers, and have no interest in learning how to use one. They are all over 60.

Yes... it is like when the Bill Gates foundation donates multi millions to starving children in poor countries.... and nothing like that gets donated here.

I know two people - my father and my cleaning lady. Neither of them is poor they are just of the ilk that it is too complicated and they haven't gotten interested in it.

I really wish my father had a computer/email because I hate calling there. His wife is just awful and she either starts yelling or she hangs up the phone when I call (he says she does that to everybody). She's a very nasty person and if I could email him it would be way better. I'm pretty good at keeping up by email but HATE making phone calls and especially there with her answering the phone. If I leave a message on their answering machine he never seems to get it.

My cleaning lady is just too busy to deal with computer stuff anyway, but she fancies herself not smart enough to do computer stuff anyway. Granted, she is not the smartest person I know and she didn't even go to high school. But she will probably never get a computer.

Yes and I know a few younger people who have given up their IPhone and replaced it with a regular cell and only use their computer when necessary for bill paying etc. They say it was taking away from their family time and it is the best thing they ever did. My hubby is computer and IPhone free. He does have a work cell that rings constantly so that is enough for him.

Yes. He does not even have an answering machine (and he's in business for himself). Nor does he have a cell phone. His clients are very loyal to him and know his ways. If he's not home, they just have to keep calling until he is.

His mom used to take messages for him, but she's gone now.
