I keep in touch with my closest childhood friend, but we don't actually go out. She is disabled. When she and her husband come to town to shop, they stop by now and then.
I have a few other friends from high school who live in the area. We get together for lunch once or twice a year, but we don't really share much in common anymore. I talk to old college friends once in awhile...a lot more in common with them, but distance prevents our getting together.

No.
i do have a friend that I actually grew up with and we still stay in touch by emails or a very occasional phone call. We play catch up a couple times during the year - but, really when it comes right down to it - I have my life and she has hers. We actually have not seen each other in about 20 years now though, except for an occasional family photo here and there. It's pretty much just - have a good summer, happy holidays and happy birthday with a few tidbits thrown in there too...

I keep in touch with my two best friends from HS, more from college. My really best friends are from life after college and those friendships are 20+ years old and we are very close even though we do not live in the same location location anymore.

But, I did go to a 40th grade school reunion some years ago. It was great because most of us went to that school K through 8th grade. I am FB friends with a few of those classmates and also a HS friend.
@Catty2, I went to my 10 year reunion and joked afterward that I wasn't going to anymore reunions until my 50 year. Well, that is coming up next year...and I do not really want to go. Maybe my 80 year reunion???

Hard to believe I graduated 50 years ago in May.. where oh where has the time gone, I mean it was only like yesterday. In first grade and at graduation I sat between the same two boys..
I attended a couple reunions & it wasn't for me, if anything I felt uncomfortable. As us wallflowers were still wallflowers and all the beauty queens and popular girls were still thinking they were all that. LOL .. Nah this wallflower bloomed on her own and made her own way being her own self.. a da dada.![]()

I graduated in summer 1951. There were 700 in our class. I've not attended any reunions. Don't like them. There were 4 of us girls who were pals all through the 3 years, and 3 of us are still in touch by email and an occasional visit. We are all widows now. The other friend has fallen off our radar though we have tried to find her. We are all in our early 80s.

13 june
I too am going on 50 yr class reunion in 2017.
I have not gotten any notification about reunions coming up in 2017. The gal who sent out notices from my old high school left this job (end of June) and no replacement has been mentioned. I doubt there will be a reunion.
I only went to 1 of them I think it was at 10 yrs.
I was so bullied during high school. Little did I know it was bullying. I guess I was so stupid to the effect of what was going on. I just accepted it as a fact of life. Now a days when I think back, there are things I remember that do make me sad to think I let things like this happen to me.
I do remain friends with 1 gal in high school to this day. we don't write or speak often but we do email every now and then.
I no longer live anywhere in the state I grew up in.
