Thanks for the replies (some of them are very funny IE you would need a blood transfusion). lol

I think most cats would not enjoy bathing. I was just wondering your thoughts and opinions. I agree the video I saw that cat was not happy and they should have let the cat go and not bathed kitty.

If anyone has long haired cats they know that sometimes if and when a cat has a bit of a digestive issue and their backsides get dirty from diarrhea, one has no choice but to bathe them or have a professional groomer do it.

No. Many years ago I did but I don't find that my cat needs a bath.

We've always had very sweet cats. They never bite or scratch us, not once, and none of them have ever fought each other.

They can be a handful when they play, and now, for the first time, we have a jumper. It seems nothing is too high for her to climb. They're indoor cats and they get handled a lot. DH spoils them, he gets out a high stool and one is always at his side in the kitchen.

One of our cats always leaves the litter box with cat litter on her back. Very strange as none of the others have that problem.

Our neighbor's cat was very dominant and always fighting and chasing our cats off our property and one day she just ticked me off to no end and so I picked her up and threw her into our swimming pool. Yes, I did. She climbed out on her own with no problem. A year or so later the owner next door passed away and so the cat kept coming over to be fed. She quickly became an indoor cat and we kept her until she passed a few years later. She forgave me by the way and always curled up on my lap.

What a funny and sweet story! Sounds like she owned you before but you didn't know it then.{#emotions_dlg.wub}

Thanks!

Never knew you had to bathe. A cat unless of course they were involved in an oil spill.

I don't bath my cat who is a long hair but I do clean his bottom when he does a #2. He will meow to let us know he has gone. He seems to OK with that since sometimes he can be messy. I also will wipe him down if it is hot out he has thick black fur and again seems to be OK with it.
