Re: Do You Vape?

[ Edited ]

No, but I never smoked any sort of plant substance either.

We all vape, good flavors to be had. No more harmful than room freshteners, traffic fumes, scented candles, hair spray...

I would possibly consider weed vape if I thought it would help abate my arthritis pain. I can't take any of the Ibuprophen compounds, so I am pretty much dependent on aspirin or occasionally Tylenol. Neither one is particularly good for your innards. I just haven't heard any reports of the pain benetifs of weed vapes. One of my friends takes a couple of hits of weed vapes if he can't sleep, and he says it works.

No. I smoked for 15 years and quit when I saw I was getting a wrinkle on my upper lip. It was easy to quit in my case, cause I only smoked a pack a week and my husband did not smoke. I relapsed once when my son was in grade school, he caught me smoking, went ape and couldn't wait till his dad got home to rat me out. I never smoked again.

I would only vape if there was technology to lengthen my telomeres in the process but since there is no such technology, to heck with it.

Have you ever seen how much smoke is exhaled out of one of those cigarettes?

When people are smoking in their cars, it looks like a steam engine coming out of the window or sunroof!

I don't think I've ever smelled anything, but I can tell if someone is smoking a real cigarette from a mile away.

I wish people who walked the beach only vaped.  Soooo many cigarette butts in the sand, it's a sin.Woman Sad

@sunala

Some of the vaping/hookah smells are horrendous, some remind me of overly sweet or herbal pipe tobacco.

Vaping, regular smoking, (cigarettes, cigars, pipes) and pot smoking.   It would be nice if people would stay indoors with their windows closed while smoking anything!

I know what you mean, @CAcableGirl2  There was enough pot smell before it was legal but, now it’s even worse.

It seems like I am always trying to hold my breath when out walking until I pass by or try to stand out of the line of smell!   Sometimes right outside doors to medical buildings so, you have to pass through to get inside.

(In my neighbourhood, the  pot, cigarette and vape smells mingle with the urine smells from the street people.  Oh, the joys of urban living!)

Tonight I was walking behind a woman who was puffing on an e-cig and the smell was violently gross. I can't imagine inhaling that putrid smell.

I know a couple of people who smoked e-cigs and say they quit smoking thanks to them, which is great. But I also know a woman who never smoked before, but she's been vaping for a few years now. She says they're harmless. How crazy is that?

It kind of makes me wonder how those things can not be harmful. Any thoughts?

Maybe it was a weed vape, instead of an evape. I think anything you take into your lungs besides fresh air is probably harmful. However, I guess it's a matter of degree here.

@RainCityWomannice to see you! It could have been weed but I think I would have recognized the smell. It was more of a stink to me, but I guess to others it could have been not so bad. Who knows what it was?
