Tonight I was walking behind a woman who was puffing on an e-cig and the smell was violently gross. I can't imagine inhaling that putrid smell.
I know a couple of people who smoked e-cigs and say they quit smoking thanks to them, which is great. But I also know a woman who never smoked before, but she's been vaping for a few years now. She says they're harmless. How crazy is that?
It kind of makes me wonder how those things can not be harmful. Any thoughts?

probably still give you cancer. Anything going into the lungs and all that

@sunala not sure if this is the same thing as I just saw it last night but it seems like there is a concern for teenagers using a product called Juul as it is so small and compact that it can be used in a classroom without the teachers knowing. Goodness how does a product like this be allowed on the market?

Many of the liquids used in these type of 'cigs' contain nicotine and flavor additives that I would consider unhealthy to inhale. It's just not good to inhale things other than plain air.

I don't smoke and I don't vape!

No, no, and no. I watched my older brother suffer and die - emphysema aggravated by alcohol. His death was years before vaping became available but vaping has its own dangers. The research is just coming in now that smokers have been using it for a few years.

Yes to get off cigarettes.

No but one of my girlfriends does. I would want to know what's in what I'm vaping.
Some of it on the market has Diacetyl in it just like cigarettes but a lot less of it. It also has less chemicals then cigarettes.
Anyone vaping should look at the ingredients so they know what's in it.
Most of it is 90% Propylene Glycol or 90% Vegetable Glycerin

i totally agree with you. But I will add, it can sometimes be a danger to inhale plain air! Lol.
I think additives are not good to the vaping. If someone was going to do it for a short time, and they got off ciggs, then maybe. Individual choice I guess. I quit 35 yrs ago, I chewed that nicorette gum for a month, then finished on my own. That gum was like 35 bucks at the time. For 1985, it was not chump change.
