@usffan - This has happened to me a lot. With clothes, I inspect them and wash them. With other things I check them over. I always use this example: A few years ago there was a handbag TSV coming up. I pre-ordered it, as I wanted to take it with me when we drove DS to college across the country. It came a few days before we were due to leave. It had a huge ink mark on the front, all of the inside wrapping was gone, and the plastic bag had that dreaded "return" sticker on it. I called right away. The CS rep was nice and sent another one right out, but it didn't get here in time for me to take it with me. When I got home and saw it, the second one was brand new. I wish they had sent that one to begin with!
So yes - I do think this is what they do sometimes.
