Yes, I think it's overkill.  $2.3 billion spent on a sphere?

@Kachina624  I was the OP on a previous thread about the Sphere in Vegas. I think the technology and  capabilities are fantastic. U2 performed on opening night of the Sphere and the effects were awesome.

I love Vegas ( shows and dining) and have been well over 100 times; last time was last Fall. That was the first we had seen the new Stadium ( near MGM mid strip-- really messed up traffic and wasn't even a game day. Add this sphere, in same area, and then new baseball stadium ( coming soon); what a mess. I'll probably cut back my visits significantly.
