I write one a month. To the same place. Where I get my hair done. They won't take Visa there. So I have to write a check. Otherwise I never would write any check!

Yes, I pay local bills that way. Prefer them actually.

Thanks for the reminder. My hairdresser went to check or cash only Aug 1. I go next week and I'm sure I would have forgotten.

A couple of times a year I get a medical bill that offers no other way to pay except by check and they even include the return envelope.
I much prefer to pay these bills online because they are paid right now and I don't have to wait for the check to clear.
I have one specialist that sends a bill in January for all of the previous year visits, check only allowed, no online payments. It's ridiculous.

I can't remember the last time I wrote a check. I pay my utility, phone, etc, bills online or have auto-pay set up.
I don't receive paper bills. I don't want my account and personal info roaming round in the mail any more than it has to.

yes 2 a month.. my landlord only will take a check. i remember when i moved here i told him.. wouldn't it be easier if i'd just let you take it out of my acct. every month.. he said no, he didnt want to get into doing all that.. he said he wants a check? there are 3 of us living here.. and we each pay at different times?? so hes going to the bank 3 different times?? makes no sense to me.. and i still pay my credit card with a check every month.. i like to get the bill and actually look at it. i know i could look it up online.... but i been writing a check out for my credit card for over 30 yrs... so 2 a month for me..

I have to pay my property taxes by the end of the month. I often will go in person to drop off a check (they are located near my community) and I plan on asking if I can pay this bill online now.
I prefer to pay as much online as possible.
When I have work done on the house my contractor likes to get a check. We also had repair work done on the air conditioner and I gave him a check.

With all the breaches I continue to write checks for all bills, except for those we pay in person (cash). My SS was affected and this was by a financial institution. It's easier for me to write a check and mail it the same day. I'm just happier having a more hands on method and still am fine with writing checks. To each is own, is the way see it. As the store credit cards begin to charge 1.99 for a paper bill; it may be a decision we make in the future. How can a company charge a fee if you've been bleached and won't risk using your computer to pay online?

you dont have to go to the bank to deposit a check. you can do it from anywhere using your phones camera. i can be laying in bed, watching tv, and make deposits all at the same time!

We write a check for rent, but pay other bills online. I refuse to use payment apps like Venmo.
