Re: Do You Remember Calling Time & Temperature?

Oh wow yes, I do remember that! I also remember the party line mentioned...I remember too dialing the operator to break in on the telephone line when I got a busy signal calling home...usually to get a ride when I was a young teenager. My mom and her sister would yak for hours on the phone and they lived a half mile from each other😳

Re: Do You Remember Calling Time & Temperature?

Yes, I remember calling the number when I was in senior high in the 80's when "call waitiing" was a new feature.  Late at night when my boyfriend, now DH would be getting home late from work, I would dial the time so that he could call in and it wouldn't wake up my parents.Cat Surprised

Re: Do You Remember Calling Time & Temperature?

I never called a number for the time or temp.  Never knew you could.

I do remember party lines.

I also remember that you could dial your own phone number and get a busy signal, but you could also communicate with other kids who did the same.  We would rush home from school and talk to unknown kids with the busy signal in the background.

@Pandalady. I don't understand your post about how calling time and temperature connects to your boyfriend.
