The vendors that come on with a tale of woe telling us why the product was created?

I neither believe or disbelieve because "tales of woe" are just another sales tactic to sway marks folks to purchase. icon_rolleyes.gif  Personally, it's a turn off for me.

A few Shark Tank contestants do the exact thing to get a Shark to  "make it rain."  Most times it does not work.  However, a child contestant is the push over. icon_rolleyes.gif

I believe their stories but think some are exaggerated for sales reasons. Who knows for sure?! I think most people or their families have a tale of woe to tell. My family certainly does. I hear what they are saying but it doesn't cause me to feel they are deserving of any special sympathy from me.

Unless I personally know the person, I take everything that's told me with a large grain of salt--LOL!!

There is one vendor that is paralyzed who created a skincare line.  He said he became paralyzed because he jumped off a balcony to the pool below but didn't realize the water was shallow.  The skincare line was created because he had special needs for his skin.

@Bonkers1

There was also a vendor who was completely paralyzed in a wheel chair.

He invented low sugar/low carb bars.  They were delicious.

Tae McKenzie is in a wheelchair and worked with Women w/ Control.  Selma Blair is disabled and worked with Issac.

Actually, QVC has had quite a few disability owned vendors who presented/invented items that help them.

Not all vendors are feeding you a line.

@Bonkers1   I really don't recall hearing a vendor with a tale of woe.  Probably wouldn't pay much attention to a sob story.

I have several friends who have children with disabilities.

What disturbs me is those "charities" that portray CHILDREN

asking for money in their TV commercials.

Believe? Nope. Sales tactics are slimy at best.
