Do I need an Iphone

or are they overrated..I don't want a huge cell phone bill each month but I know dh wants an iphone.. I am thinking of just getting one of the free phones from at@tfor me and a data package an cheaper iphone for him.. I do like to play on them but think I would rather wait and get a Samsung Galaxie Tablet when the price goes down...
