My best girlfriend was married at a very young age at 16 as she was pregnant and this was in the 70's and she had no choice by her parents she had to get married she had no say in it as her parents thought this was a disgrace. The were married for a year and it didn't work out as they were so young. After the divorce her parents wanted her to move back home with her son and she did. The childs father wasn't permitted to have visiting rights as he was smoking pot at the time and she didn't want her child in that enviroment. He did pay child support over the years and continued to want to have visiting rights but it just wasn't going to happen. As time went on she never heard from him and had heard he had gotten maried and had a child Now this is 40 years later!!Her brother ran into him in Lowe's a couple of weeks ago and they were talking and the ex said he had always new where she was living and he started to name where they have lived. Her brother was so surprised he said 'Are you stlallking my sister all of these years"? and he said no he found out on the internet. He has sent his son now 41, some letters over the years wanting to met him and his son never responded.Now my girlfriend feels bad that he doesn't even know his own son and now feels she has made a mistake keeping him away from his father and from his family.Her ex has been married 2 other times and divored both times and had a daughter that he raised by hiself as his wife took off and left the daughter behind.I feel so bad for both of them, especially her ex missed out on a sons life. So sad!!
