Distracted driving, anyone?!
Texting is child's play compared to this.

Love how he 'little girl' screams at the end.
As an animal lover, I wanna say they are created equal,
but I dunno...I would have to burn the car after this!!

When we first moved to Florida and still had a truck we would have geckos and frogs pop up from behind outside mirrors or from that same place where the wipers lie. However - never a snake.

My son had a red tail boa from baby to 7+ ft until it passed years later. That snake rode in his back wind on most short local trips. It went to local parks with him. They both loved swimming. Kids of all ages liked to see them. IMO they were good ambassadors for nature. People need to be able to recognize snakes for safety reasons, how to handle or avoid them without being afraid. He was lucky to marry a wonderful woman who was willing to learn to enjoy them as much as he did.
A few years ago his current snakes had a baby. He took the 12" baby and a picture of the parents to a local winery on bring your pet day. We sat at a table off to the side but in full view so people could see and come visit or not. An hour plus in a woman at a table beside us noticed the little snake. Not sure why it took her so long as others with her saw and were watching all along. She had a screaming fit and demanded the owners make us leave. All around us suggested she should move or leave. She stayed with her table and we stayed at ours. Young children look to parents to see their reaction and they copy. With calm quiet demonstration my son had children touching and asking questions. Parents watched and touched. My son was thanked by several for bringing him and having patience helping their child over come their fear of the unknown.
One year we had a beautiful golden eagle "living" in an apartment on neighboring property. His owner asked to use our 3 acre yard to fly and train the eagle. Meeting the eagle and watching his training was a wonderful experience for my young son and us.
We all need to take time to learn and appreciate the beauty in nature around us. Recognize the dangers of different species and how to live with them or have them relocated. For several years I rehabilitated baby raccoons. Some arrived with their eyes still shut. Thanks to the help of a local vet we never lost a baby and were able to release healthy animals at the appropriate time in a place away from traffic and people. We have great memories of those times.
